Joe is easily the best personal trainer I have ever worked with. He has sooo much knowledge to share on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I came to Ethos Athletic Club looking to improve my overall fitness and to strengthen an overuse injury I suffered while running. I was initially paired up with Joe with TSL Fitness and Nutrition as someone who might help me reach these goals. Having trained with him for several months, I couldn’t be happier that I met Joe and that I got to work with him as a trainer. Not only did I reach my goals, Joe helped me to get in the best shape of my life. From our first meeting, he listened to what my goals were and tailored the workouts to exactly where I was fitness wise. Joe’s experience and expertise was quickly evident. He knew when to push me when he saw that I could do more and when to trim back when I was nearing failure. He was extremely flexible and always helped to accommodate my busy and ever changing schedule. In addition to wanting to gain overall fitness, another goal was to gain confidence in the gym and avoid injury. Joe taught me how to perform new exercises and more complex movements in a safe and controlled setting. Over our several months of working together, I saw huge improvements. My strength, energy, fitness, focus and mental health were all better. I recently moved away from Charleston and while I was sad to leave, I left stronger and with the confidence to continue my fitness journey on my own thanks to Joe and TSL Fitness and Nutrition.

My experience has been amazing. We have trained together for some time and his ability to listen to me and adapt/create routines that worked were amazing. I also suffered a pretty tough injury (not in the gym) and became pretty depressed. Joe was there to help via the mindset as well and slowly getting my confidence back in the gym. That was a huge turning point for me this summer and I am very grateful to have had someone there for that. Highly recommend 👊🏻
